Bronze Camp

Bronze Camp is a great way to become a fully qualified Surf Life Saver, and at the same time make a stack of new friends. The week long live in camp is a fun, challenging way to experience an introduction to Surf Life Saving. It is open for applicants aged 15 years and over. On completion of the camp, participants will hold their Bronze Medallion.

After completion of your bronze medallion it is expected you will attend at least 16 hours of patrol over summer. This is a great opportunity to get out on the beach and make lots of new friends as well as keep fit and practice your new skills (Please talk to us if you feel you will be unable to patrol). You are also able to help out with nippers, which can count as hours towards community service.

Information regarding the 2012 Bronze Camp will be updated later in the year.

Please contact us at chiefinstructor@13thbeachslsc.asn.au for more information.

Adult's Bronze Course

Each summer we run an adult's bronze course in the lead up to Nippers, so that our Nipper parents can gain their Bronze Medallion, and assist with water safety for the Nipper Program. The course runs over weekends in November and December.

Without these parents, we would not be able to run the Nipper Program each summer.

We need new people to help out each summer - if this is you, please contact Mark Kebbell at nippers@13thbeachslsc.asn.au for details.

Surf Rescue Certificate

Finished nippers?

The SRC program is a great way to get involved with the patrolling side of lifesaving, and learn some new skills. You will be able to keep in touch with all of your friends from nippers, and make some new ones too. The week long program is a fun, challenging way to experience an introduction to Surf Life Saving. It is open for applicants aged 13 and 14 years of age. On completion of the program, participants will hold their Surf Rescue Certificate, which allows them to patrol the beach.

Information regarding the 2013 SRC Camp will be updated later in the year.

Please contact us at chiefinstructor@13thbeachslsc.asn.au to register your interest or for more information.
