Adult Bronze 2016 Camp
The 2016 Adult Bronze Course will this year be run over two weekends: commencing 5-6th November & concluding 12-13th November
We will spend time in the water and time learning theory / practical components, so both wet and dry gear will be required. This course is aimed at adult learners: you will receive a manual and workbook to fill in prior to and during the course so it needs to be finished by the end of the course. The course will qualify the candidate with fundamental Surf Lifesaving skills, including:
- Safety and Wellbeing
- Surf Awareness and skills
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Basic First Aid
- Basic Resuscitation (CPR)
- Rescue Techniques
This course will enable candidates to patrol and be a nipper leader/provide water safety throughout the nipper program.
The following prerequisites must be adhered to:
- Be a minimum of 15 years old on the date of the examination
- Be a financial member of the club
- Be able to complete a 400m swim in 9 minutes or less

We ask that you undertake the swim test at your own local pool, and have a lifeguard or swim instructor sign off your ability to make the time limit. If you are unable to make the time cut-off, we will discuss whether or not you are able to continue with the course, for both the safety of the candidate and the instructors.
You also need to be a current club member. This course is a nationally recognised qualification.
