Patrol Operations

Patrolling 13th Beach is our clubs primary responsibility. Volunteer lifesavers patrol every Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Public Holidays (except Christmas Day) from the last weekend in November until Easter Monday.

Lifeguards employed by the Australian Lifeguard Service and Life Saving Victoria provide patrols midweek during the peak summer period. We volunteer our time as beach surf life savers with a common goal to prevent aquatic related death and injury.

Our volunteers are trained in both rescue and resuscitation and in a number of other awards and qualifications to ensure patron safety when visiting our beach. In addition to saving lives, our presence ensures that patrons have peace of mind when visiting, knowing that help is close by.
