Welcome to the 2020-21 season at Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC.
Last season 13th Beach had one of its busiest seasons ever on the beach – Sharks, rescues, call outs, the list goes on.
This year the club welcomes Paul Scherf into the role as Club Captain. Paul has a wealth of lifesaving experience to bring to the roll.
We are needing everyone back on board again this year and to assist us with scheduling patrol rosters and the organisation of other areas of the club we are requesting your feedback.
Please click on the link and complete our Barwon Heads 13th Beach Patrol Registration Form
If you have any queries or have specific requests regarding this season, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you all back this season!

WELCOME TO THE BARWON HEADS 13th BEACH SLSC NIPPER PROGRAM 2020/2021
As a result of COVID, Life Saving Clubs have been faced with the challenge of adapting their Nipper Program to ensure compliance with a COVID safe practice. For some Clubs, they have made the difficult decision not to offer a program.
The Committee at Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC are pleased to advise we are still able to offer a Nipper Program for 2020/2021 albeit on a modified and restricted basis.
Unfortunately we cannot run our popular under 6 and under 7 groups this year.
At this stage, the other nipper groups we will be running two time slots:
Under 8, Under 9 and Under 10 will run in the first time slot of 9.00am to 10.30am.
Under 11, Under 12 and Under 13/14 will run in the second time slot of 10.30am to 12.00 noon
We understand this is not ideal for families who have children in both time slots however we have decided this is the best way to ensure we can comply with COVID restrictions and keep everyone safe.
A “kiss and drop” area will be set up at the commencement of each time slot. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate families/parents gathering on premises.
We encourage you to volunteer to assist with running our program and will establish a roster as usual, however it will be strictly limited to necessary roles only. Please contact us directly if you would like to discuss completing your qualifications to assist in water safety, we need all the help we can get in the water. To be in the water you must hold either a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) or Bronze Medallion (BM).
If you are a Nurse, Doctor or Medical Professional and can assist in our first aid tent, we would be grateful for your assistance.
Each day’s program will be led by the Age Group Leader / Assistant Group Leaders and the activities may vary in line with weather and beach conditions.
Due to number restrictions, our groups will be strictly capped. Priority will be given to our returning members.
